Abstract: Objective: To analyze acupoint selection rules in acupuncture and moxibustion for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)using data mining techniques, thus providing evidence-based references for clinical acupoint selection. Methods: Literature on acupuncture and moxibustion for ADHD was retrieved from databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,China Biomedical Literature Database(SinoMed),and PubMed from their inception to February 2025. A database was established using Excel 2021 to analyze high-frequency acupoints, meridian tropism, and regional classifications. SPSS Modeler 18.0 and IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 were employed for association rule analysis and cluster analysis of acupoints. Results: A total of 67 articles meeting the criteria were included, involving 101 acupoints with a total application frequency of 588, of which 28 high-frequency acupoints were identified. The top 10 acupoints were: Taichong(LR3), Baihui(GV20), Sishencong(EX-HN1), Shenting (GV24), Shenmen(HT7), Neiguan(PC6), Zusanli(ST36), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Dazhui(GV14), and Taixi (KI3). The five most frequently used meridians were:governor vessel(GV),foot-Taiyang bladder meridian,foot- Yangming stomach meridian, hand-Jueyin pericardium meridian, and foot-Jueyin liver meridian. Analysis revealed three strong association rules and five acupoint clusters. Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion for ADHD focuses on the theraputic principle of "suppressing the liver and reinforcing the spleen while regulating spirit and dredging meridians." Thus, acupoints are predominantly selected along the foot-Jueyin liver meridian,foot-Yangming stomach meridian, governor vessel(GV),foot-Taiyang bladder meridian, and hand-Jueyin pericardium meridian, with core acupoints including Taichong(LR3),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Baihui(GV20),and Sishencong(EX-HN1),et al. Scalp acupoints constituted the highest proportion of interventions, serving as pivotal sites for spirit-regulation. Their clinical advantages include user-friendly operation, minimal pain, and high acceptability in pediatric populations, facilitating regulation of qi movement.
