Abstract: The occurrence of tic disorders is closely related to the five zang organs, mainly the liver and the spleen.The two organs restrict each other physiologically and impact each other pathologically,and jointly regulate qi and blood of human body. The pathogenesis of tic disorders is mostly the internal stirring of liver wind and internal accumulation of phlegm turbidity. Whether the liver function and spleen function are strong or weak has a certain correlation with the state of healthy qi in human.In clinical practice,the combination use of modified Erchen Tang and Yigan San or acupuncture can achieve the purpose of treating tic disorders by calming liver and extinguishing wind and fortifying the spleen and resolving phlegm.
