Introduction of JIANG Shulong's Experience of Applying Shensu Yin in Treating Differ⁃ ent Diseases with the Same Method Based on Theory of Deficiency with Qi Stagnation
Abstract: This article introduces Professor JIANG Shulong's clinical experience in applying Shensu Yin to treat different diseases with the same method based on the theory of "deficiency with qi stagnation."Professor JIANG contends that although Shensu Yin is commonly prescribed as an exterior-releasing formula for exogenous diseases, its core syndrome treated centers on three key elements: deficiency, constraint, and stagnation – aligning with the pathogenesis of "deficiency with qi stagnation. " He identifies this pathogenesis as spleen deficiency failing in transportation, liver qi constraint failing to ascend, dysfunction of qi movement in the middle energizer, and congealed phlegm-damp. Consequently, Shensu Yin demonstrates efficacy in treating various internal injury disorders. Professor JIANG achieves significant clinical results by modifying Shensu Yin to treat diverse internal diseases such as tumor-related fatigue, chronic gastritis, and tension-type headache under the principle of treating different diseases with the same method.
