Curative Effect of Changyuan Needle Muscle-Region Node Release Method on Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopaty and Its Effect on miR-155 and Inflammatory Factors in Peripheral Blood
Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of Changyuan needle muscle-region node release method on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy and its effect on miR-155 and inflammatory factors in peripheral blood. Methods:A total of 80 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy who were treated in Hangzhou Lin'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2023 to September 2024 were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Changyuan needle muscle-region node release method based on the treatment in the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The clinical effects, and the changes in the scores of Clinical Assessment Scale for Cervical Spondylosis(CASCS),Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)of pain and Neck Disability Index(NDI),and the levels of serum interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8), tumor necrosis factor - α(TNF - α) and miR-155 expression in peripheral blood before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total clinical effective rate was 90.00%(36/40)in the treatment group and 70.00%(28/40)in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the CASCS scores in both groups were elevated when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of VAS and NDI were reduced when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the CASCS score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the scores of VAS and NDI were lower than those in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above three levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of miR-155 expression in the two groups were down-regulated when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the level of miR-155 expression in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Changyuan needle muscle-region node release method has a great curative effect on cervical spondylotic rediculopaty, which can inhibit the level of miR-155 expression, improve the inflammatory responses and mitigate the symptoms.
