Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Ziwu Liuzhu(midnight-noon ebb-flow)Tuina therapy in treating cardiovascular diseases(CVD)-induced geriatric frailty with qi deficiency syndrome. Methods: A total of 115 patients with CVD-induced geriatric frailty with qi deficiency syndrome who were treated in Wenzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from August 2024 to March 2025 were selected and divided into the control group(n=56)and the trial group(n=59)according to treatment methods of frailty. The control group was received conventional medicine, nutritional intervention and eight -section brocade exercise; the trial group was additionally treated with Ziwu Liuzhu Tuina therapy. The two groups were treated for one month. The clinical efficacy, safety,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,degree of frailty [scores of Fried Frailty Phenotype(FFP)and Edmonton Frail Scale(EFS)],nutritional indicators [serum albumin(Alb),pre-albumin(PA),total protein(TP) and transferrin(TRF)],activities of daily living [the grip strength,6-minute walk test(6MWT),timed up and go test (TUG) and 5-Repeat Chair Stand Test(5R-CST), scores of Activities of Daily Living(ADL)] before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 94.92%(56/ 59)in the trial group,which was significantly higher than that of 80.36%(45/56)in the control group(P<0.05). The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, and scores of FFP and EFS in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the trial group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The levels of Alb,TP,PA and TRF in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above four levels in the trial group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Grip strength in the two groups improved when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),with greater improvement in the trial group(P<0.05); the 6MWT distance increased in both groups, with a greater increase in the trial group(P<0.05);TUG and 5R-CST time shortened in both groups,with a shorter time in the trial group(P<0.05). The ADL scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P< 0.05),and the ADL score in the trial group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). There were no adverse reactions in both groups. Conclusion:Ziwu Liuzhu Tuina therapy can reduce the degree of frailty,improve nutritional status, enhance physical function and activities of daily living in patients with CVD-induced geriatric frailty with qi deficiency syndrome,with good efficacy and high safety.
