Abstract:This article introduces LI Kunyin's clinical experience in treating perimenopausal sleep disorders. Sleep disorder is one of the predominant symptoms in perimenopausal women, often becoming chronic and severely impacting on patients' physical and mental health as well as quality of life. Based on years of clinical practice, LI Kunyin, a nationally renowned Chinese medicine practitioner, identifies the pathogenesis as dysfunction of the heart, spleen, and kidney systems, with the root cause lying in incoordination between the heart and kidney and disharmony between the spleen and stomach. The treatment strategy centers on nourishing the kidney, tranquilizing the heart, and fortifying the spleen, thereby restoring the balance of yin-yang between the heart and kidney and harmonizing the spleen and stomach. Additionally, emphasis is placed on emotional regulation and dietary therapy, yielding favorable clinical outcomes.
