Abstract:With the accelerating aging of the population, osteoporosis(OP)has increasingly become a significant health issue affecting people's quality of life. Lingnan region, located south of the Five Ridges in southern China,is characterized by a humid and hot climate and low-lying terrain, which contribute to the unique regional characteristics of local diseases. By analyzing the Chinese medicine pathogenesis of OP in the Lingnan region, this study reveals the interaction among the humid and hot climate, humanistic environment, and Chinese medicine pathogenesis. This understanding not only aids in comprehending the etiology of OP but also provides a basis for formulating effective prevention and treatment strategies. It offers an integrated Chinese and western medicine model of "location-based, constitution differentiation, and evidence-based" for the prevention and treatment of chronic bone diseases in humid and hot regions.
