Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical efficacy of Zishen Yutai Pills combined with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Tablets in treating polycystic ovary syndrome（PCOS）of kidney deficiency type，and its effects on sex hormones and inflammatory factors. Methods：A total of 82 PCOS patients of kidney deficiency type treated at Taizhou Central Hospital / The Affiliated Hospital of Taizhou University from October 2021 to March 2024 were divided into the observation group and the control group using the random number table method， with 41 cases in each group. The control group received Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Tablets， while the observation group received Zishen Yutai Pills combined with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Tablets. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. Clinical efficacy，clinical pregnancy rates，and incidence of adverse reactions were compared. Changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome（abnormal menstrual volume，dizziness and tinnitus，soreness and weakness of the waist and knees， decreased libido， aversion to cold）， sex hormones [luteinizing hormone（LH）， follicle-stimulating hormone（FSH）， and LH/FSH ratio]， inflammatory factors [tumor necrosis factor-α（TNF-α）， and interleukin-6 （IL-6）]， and endometrial receptivity [endometrial thickness， and resistance index（RI）and pulsatility index（PI）of uterine artery proximal ] were observed. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate and clinical pregnancy rate of the observation group were 87.50%（35/40）and 72.50%（29/40），which were higher than those of 65.79%（25/38） and 47.37%（18 / 38）in the control group（P＜0.05）. After treatment， the scores of abnormal menstrual volume， dizziness and tinnitus， soreness and weakness of waist and knees， decreased libido and aversion to cold in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment（P＜0.05）， and the above five traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group（P＜0.05）. The levels of LH and LH/FSH in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment，and the levels of LH and LH/ FSH in the observation group were lower than those in the control group（P＜0.05）. The FSH levels in the two groups were increased compared with those before treatment（P＜0.05），and the FSH level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group（P＜0.05）. The levels of TNF -α and IL-6 in the observation group were decreased compared with those in the control group（P＜0.05），and the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group（P＜0.05）. The endometrial thickness in the two groups was increased compared with that before treatment（P＜0.05），and the endometrial thickness in the observation group was thicker than that in the control group（P＜0.05）. The RI and PI of the proximal uterine artery in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment，and the RI and PI of the proximal uterine artery in the observation group were lower than those in the control group（P＜0.05）. During the treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.00%（2/40），while the incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 5.26%（2/38），there being no significant difference between the two groups（P＞0.05）. Conclusion：Zishen Yutai Pills combined with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Tablets significantly improves clinical symptoms， enhances pregnancy rates， improves endometrial receptivity， and modulates sex hormones and inflammatory factors in PCOS with kidney deficiency syndrome，with good safety.
