Abstract： This article introduces Professor DANG Zhongqin's clinical experience in treating chronic atrophic gastritis. Professor DANG contends that the core pathogenesis of chronic atrophic gastritis involves the deficiency blended with blood stasis，with deficiency as the root and excess as the manifestation. The treatment strategy emphasizes applying four treatment methods simultaneously： invigorating the spleen and replenishing qi to consolidate the root， resolving blood stasis and unblocking collaterals to eliminate the manifestations，harmonizing the liver and stomach to facilitate the pivot， and nourishing yin and moistening dryness to restore yin. He formulated the Jianpi Huayu Yuwei Prescription and applies it with syndrome differentiation and tailored modifications based on symptoms.
