Abstract：Objective：To analyze the acupoint selection patterns in bloodletting therapy for facial paralysis over the past decade using data mining. Methods：Clinical randomized controlled trials （RCTs） on bloodletting therapy for facial paralysis published from January 2014 to December 2024 were retrieved from major databases including CNKI， Wanfang， VIP， and PubMed. After screening and standardizing the bloodletting prescriptions， the frequency of acupoint use was counted using Excel 2021 and SPSS Statistics 27.0，and cluster analysis was performed. Association rule analysis and network visualization analysis were conducted using IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0. Results： A total of 80 eligible studies were included，from which 54 effective prescriptions and 38 acupoints were extracted，with a total frequency of 168. The top 10 most frequently used acupoints were Erjian（EX-HN6） point， Yifeng （TE17） point， Yangbai （GB14） point， Jiache （ST6） point， Quanliao （SI18） point， Ashi points， Taiyang （EX-HN5） point， Qianzheng （EX-HN16） point， Hegu （LI4） point， and Shangyang （LI1） point， which were used 110 times， accounting for 64.8% of the total frequency. Association rule analysis showed a strong correlation and co-occurrence between Yangbai point and Quanliao point. Cluster analysis identified Yangbai point and Quanliao point as core clusters. Conclusion： Bloodletting therapy for facial paralysis focuses on local acupoint selection， mainly choosing acupoints along the head meridians，with a primary emphasis on local point combinations，following the principles of relaxing the meridians，activating the collaterals，dispelling wind and alleviating pain.
