Abstract: Objective: To investigate the acupoint selection and combination rules in tuina therapy for simple obesity using data mining. Methods:Clinical Chinese literature on tuina therapy for simple obesity published between January 2003 and December 2023 was retrieved from databases including CNKI, Wanfang, CBM, and VIP. An information database was constructed, and descriptive analysis, association rule analysis, and cluster analysis were performed on the tuina prescriptions. Results: A total of 80 articles containing 80 prescriptions were included, involving 135 acupoints with a total frequency of 855 applications. There were three meridians with usage frequencies exceeding 10%, following by the foot-taiyang bladder meridian, the foot-yangming stomach meridian, and the conception vessel, with a cumulative frequency of 67.02%. There were 15 acupoints with a frequency higher than 15, of which Weishu( BL 21),Pishu( BL 20),Shenshu( BL 23),Zhongwan( CV 12),and Xiawan( CV 10),etc. The specific acupoints mainly included back-shu points, cleft points, front-mu points, collaterals-connecting points, five-shu points, and eight confluent points. Association rule analysis revealed that the acupoint pairs and groups with the highest support were Guanyuan (CV4)-Zhongwan (CV12), Tianshu (ST25)-Zhongwan (CV12), and Qihai (CV6)-Zhongwan (CV12). Cluster analysis of acupoints with frequencies higher than 15 identified five effective clusters. Conclusion: Tuina therapy for simple obesity primarily focuses on abdominal acupoints, with the spleen meridian, stomach meridian, and conception vessel being the most frequently selected meridians. The "Zhongwan (CV12)-Guanyuan (CV4)" combination serves as the core prescription, with the main therapeutic principle being to warm the kidney and strengthen the spleen.
