Application of Muscle-Relaxing and Ligament-Lifting Manipulation, Bio-stimulation Feedback Device Combined with Rectus Abdominis Training in the Repair of Postpartum Diastasis Recti Abdominis
Abstract: Objective: To observe the application effect of muscle-relaxing and ligament-lifting manipulation, bio-stimulation feedback device combined with rectus abdominis training in the repair of postpartum diastasis recti abdominis. Methods:A total of 70 patients with postpartum diastasis recti abdominis admitted to Taizhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2022 to February 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group (n=35 per group) using a random number table method. Three cases were excluded or dropped out in the control group, and four cases were excluded or dropped out in the observation group. The control group received biostimulation feedback device combined with rectus abdominis training, while the observation group received muscle- relaxing and ligament-lifting manipulation in addition to the control group′s regimen. The recovery of abdominal circumference, the recovery of diastasis recti abdominis, the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score for abdominal fascial pain, and the inter-rectus distance (IRD) value were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the upper umbilical circumference, umbilical circumference, and lower umbilical circumference decreased in both groups compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the observation group had smaller upper umbilical circumference, umbilical circumference, and lower umbilical circumference than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the recovery of diastasis recti abdominis was better in the observation group than in the control group(P< 0.05). The pain VAS scores in both groups gradually decreased with the increase of treatment times (P<0.05),and the VAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after 3, 5, and 10 treatments (P< 0.05). The IRD values at the upper umbilical, umbilical ring, and lower umbilical areas decreased in both groups compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the observation group had smaller IRD values than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Muscle-relaxing and ligament-lifting manipulation,bio-stimulation feedback device combined with rectus abdominis training is beneficial for promoting the recovery of postpartum diastasis recti abdominis, improving postpartum abdominal circumference, and alleviating abdominal fascial pain in parturients.
