Theoretical and Practical Exploration of Acupuncture and Moxibustion for Post-Stroke Fatigue Under the Guidance of "Circulation of Qi Movement in Body"
Abstract:Post-stroke fatigue belongs to the category of deficiency-consumption disease in Chinese medicine. It is a multidimensional functional impairment caused by insufficient physical or mental energy in post-stroke patients, with complex pathogenesis and aprolonged course, seriously affecting stroke rehabilitation. Acupuncture and moxibustion can effectively treat post-stroke fatigue. The medical theory of "circulation of qi movement in body" proposed by HUANG Yuanyu provides new ideas for acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. Based on the "circulation of qi movement in body" theory, the core pathogenesis of post-stroke fatigue involves dysfunction of the spleen-stomach axis, stagnation of qi movement in four dimensions, and imbalance of yin-yang in conception and governor meridians, leading to phlegm-stasis blocking collaterals and malnourishment of mental activity, resulting in persistent fatigue. Through acupuncture and moxibustion to strengthen the spleen-stomach pivot, regulate the flow of meridian qi in four dimensions, harmonize yin-yang balance of conception and governor meridians, properly resolve phlegm-stasis and purge excess pathogens, the dynamic balance state of "circulation of qi movement in body" can be restored, achieving simultaneous treatment of body,qi and spirit.
