Abstract: The paper summarized the research progress of the mechanism of Chinese medicine in intervening precancerous lesions of gastric cancer (PLGC) via the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt) signaling pathway. The PI3K/Akt signaling pathway mediates the process of gastric mucositis-cancer, participates in inflammatory reactions, cell proliferation and apoptosis, angiogenesis, autophagy and aerobic glycolysis, and plays an important role in the pathogenesis of PLGC. Chinese medicine can play a therapeutic effect by inhibiting inflammatory reactions, blocking inflammation-cancer transition, and regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, and autophagy and angiogenesis. Among them, Chinese medicine monomers include terpenoids, flavonoids, sugars, etc., and Chinese medicine compounds are mostly composed of those for fortifying the spleen and stomach, activating blood circulation to resolve blood stasis, and clearing heat and detoxifying. PI3K/Akt signaling pathway is involved in multiple mechanisms to promote the progression of PLGC and Chinese medicine can exert therapeutic effects by regulating various mechanisms. But most study focuses on single mechanism, and the components of Chinese medicine are complex, and the safety needs to be further verified. Future research requires in-depth,multidimensional and multidisciplinary study on the intervention effects of Chinese medicine.
