Abstract: Exercise-induced stress gastric ulcer (ESU) is a digestive system disorder triggered during exercise training and competition, which severely affects the physical health and athletic performance of athletes. Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of ESU and has yielded a series of research findings in recent years. This article systematically summarizes the relevant literature on Chinese medicine for ESU,concludes the mechanisms of action of Chinese medicine in treating ESU, primarily including antioxidant stress, anti-inflammatory reaction, regulation of gastrointestinal hormone secretion,and improvement of gastric blood flow,aiming to provide a theoretical basis and new research ideas for the treatment of ESU with Chinese medicine.
