Abstract:This article introduces Professor LAO Jinxiong's clinical experience in treating chronic urticaria using the method of cultivating primordial qi and nourishing heart. Chronic urticaria is a common refractory skin condition in clinical practice, commonly presenting with both dermatological symptoms and psychological symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Integrating the traditional Chinese medicine theories of cultivating primordial qi and strengthening body resistance, and calming the heart to tranquilize the mind, Professor LAO's clinical approach employs a basic acupuncture prescription for cultivating the primordial qi, including the Back-shu points, Zhongwan (CV12), Tianshu( ST25),Guanyuan( CV4),Xuehai( SP10),Zusanli( ST36),and Sanyinjiao( SP6). This is combined with points such as Yintang (EX-HN3), Baihui (GV20), and Sishencong (EX-HN1) to cultivate primordial qi and nourish heart, simultaneously regulating both physical and mental aspects, effectively improving skin lesion symptoms and regulating emotional states.
