Abstract:Discipline construction serves as the fundamental driving force for the sustainable development of highlevel hospitals. However,the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) disciplines faces challenges such as an unsustainable talent pipeline, a disconnect between clinical practice and scientific research, and inadequate management and incentive mechanisms. Based on practical experience, the author proposes a framework for constructing a TCM discipline talent evaluation system. It is argued that the most effective way to solve these issues is to follow a discipline development strategy that upholds authenticity while fostering innovation,clarify the connotation of discipline and specialty construction, streamlining management and incentive mechanisms, and establish a rational discipline talent evaluation system to effectively motivate disciplinary talents.
