Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical efficacy of Compound Qianggui Zhitong Ointment combined with moxibustion in the treatment of neck，shoulder，low back，and leg pain. Methods：A total of 96 patients with neck， shoulder， low back， and leg pain who were treated at Henan Integrative Medicine Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were selected as study subjects. They were divided into the control group and the combination group according to the random number table method， with 48 cases in each group. The control group received moxibustion treatment， while the combination group received Compound Qianggui Zhitong Ointment combined with moxibustion. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated. Pain degree，cervical and lumbar function，limb function，and activities of daily living before and after treatment， as well as the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α）， Creactive protein （CRP）， and interleukin-6 （IL-6） were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 95.83% （46/48） in the combination group， which was higher than that of 81.25% （39/48） in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the Visual Analogue Scale （VAS） scores and Neck Disability Index （NDI） scores of both groups decreased compared with those before treatment， while the Japanese Orthopaedic Association（ JOA） scores，Fugl-Meyer Assessment（ FMA） scores，and Barthel Index（ BI） scores increased compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）. The VAS and NDI scores in the combination group were lower than those in the control group， while the JOA， FMA， and BI scores were higher than those in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the levels of TNF-α，CRP，and IL-6 in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment （P＜ 0.05）， and the levels of TNF-α， CRP， and IL-6 in the combination group were lower than those in the control group （P＜0.05）. Conclusion： The combination of Compound Qianggui Zhitong Ointment and moxibustion in the treatment of patients with neck，shoulder，low back，and leg pain can improve short-term efficacy，alleviate pain， enhance cervical and lumbar and limb function， improve activities of daily living， and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors.
