Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of shoulder impediment six-needle acupuncture combined with Etoricoxib and tuina in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder. Methods:A total of 70 patients with periarthritis of shoulder admitted to Zhengzhou Orthopedic Hospital from January to December 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. Finally, 33 cases in the observation group and 34 cases in the control group completed the study. The control group was treated with oral administration of Etoricoxib Tablets combined with tuina , while the observation group was treated with shoulder impediment six-needle acupuncture on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The changes in University of California,Los Angeles (UCLA) shoulder scores,Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores for shoulder pain, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for shoulder joint, Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) scores, levels of inflammatory factors [interleukin-6 (IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)],and subacromialsubdeltoid bursal thickness were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. The treatment safety of both groups was observed. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The UCLA shoulder scores and ADL scores in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the VAS scores for shoulder pain and SPADI scores were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The UCLA shoulder score and ADL score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the VAS score for shoulder pain and SPADI score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of IL-6 and TNF- α in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The subacromial-subdeltoid bursa in both groups were reduced than those before treatment (P< 0.05),and the subacromial-subdeltoid bursa in the observation group was thinner than that in the control group (P< 0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred in either group. Conclusion: Shoulder impediment six-needle acupuncture combined with Etoricoxib and tuina for periarthritis of shoulder can enhance therapeutic efficacy, more effectively alleviate pain, promote the recovery of shoulder joint function, reduce inflammatory reactions, and demonstrate good safety.
