Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Gangtai Suppository combined with Diosmin on wound healing and anal canal diastolic pressure in patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 80 patients with mixed hemorrhoids admitted to Lishui People's Hospital from July 2022 to December 2024. According to different treatment methods, the cases were divided into the single-drug group (n=40, treated with Diosmin alone) and the combination group (n=40, treated with Gangtai Suppository combined with Diosmin). Both groups underwent Milligan-Morgan hemorrhoidectomy. After seven days of treatment, clinical efficacy, perianal edema, pain severity [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores],wound healing time, and anal function were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate in the combination group was 97.50% (39/ 40),significantly higher than that of 75.00%( 30/40) in the single-drug group( P<0.05). The perianal edema grade in the combination group was better than that in the single-drug group (P<0.05). The VAS scores of both groups decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),with a greater reduction in the combination group (P<0.05). The average wound healing time in the combination group was (17.72 ± 2.06) days, significantly shorter than that of (24.64 ± 3.55) days in the single-drug group (P<0.05). After treatment, the length of the highpressure zone in the anal canal decreased in both groups compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), while diastolic pressure and maximum systolic pressure increased (P<0.05). The combination group showed a shorter highpressure zone length and higher diastolic and maximum systolic pressures compared to the single-drug group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Gangtai Suppository combined with Diosmin can alleviate perianal pain and edema, accelerate wound healing, and enhance anal function in patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery.
