Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of three-step unobstructing， regulating， and nourishing） scraping therapy on allergic rhinitis （AR） of lung-spleen qi deficiency type in children based on "harmony between nutritive qi and defensive qi" theory. Methods：A total of 100 AR children of lung-spleen qi deficiency type admitted to the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional therapy combined with oral administration of Cetirizine Drops， and the observation group was treated with three-step unobstructing， regulating， and nourishing scraping therapy in addition to conventional therapy. The course of treatment in both groups was four weeks. The clinical efficacy and recurrence rates，as well as the changes in immunoglobulin E （IgE） level，eosinophil count， and main symptom scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 92.00% （46/50） in the observation group and 76.00% （38/50） in the control group， the difference being significant （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the IgE levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment（ P＜0.05），and the IgE level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the eosinophil count in the two groups was reduced when compared with that before treatment （P＜0.05），and the eosinophil count in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the scores of main symptoms in the two groups were down-regulated when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the decrease in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group （P＜0.05）. At 12 weeks after treatment， the recurrence rate was 24.09% （12/46） in the observation group and 63.16%（ 24/38） in the control group，differences being significant（ P＜0.05）. Conclusion：The three-step unobstructing， regulating and nourishing scraping therapy based on "harmony between nutritive qi and defensive qi" theory can enhance the curative effect on AR of lung-spleen qi deficiency type in children， improve the clinical symptoms and the immunity，and decrease the recurrence rate.
