Abstract:This article introduces the clinical experience of LI Yun'an in treating sweating disorders based on the six-meridian differentiation theory. LI Yun'an believes that the etiology of sweating disorders primarily includes physical weakness after illness or constitutional deficiency, external deficiency with wind pathogen invasion, emotional extremes, and excessive consumption of pungent and spicy foods. The pathological location is in the defensive exterior and sweat pores, involving multiple organs. The fundamental pathogenesis is an imbalance of yin and yang with insecure interstices. Based on the six-meridian differentiation theory, treatment is tailored according to the differences in meridian pathways,yin-yang,and qi-blood attributes. Commonly used modified formulas in clinical practice include Guizhi Decoction, Yupingfeng San, Wuling San, Baihu Decoction, Xiaochaihu Decoction, Chaihu Guizhi Decoction,Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction,Zhenwu Decoction,Danggui Sini Decoction, and Muli San,all of which have demonstrated satisfactory clinical outcomes.
