Abstract:Objective:To observe the efficacy of Didan Prescription combined with western medicine in treating systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) of yin deficiency and blood stasis type. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on SLE patients of yin deficiency and blood stasis type treated with Didan Prescription combined with standard regimen at Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2023 to July 2025. Changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI-2K),peripheral blood cell counts, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP), anti-dsDNA antibodies, complement (C3, C4), immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA, IgM), and daily glucocorticoid dosage were compared before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, SLEDAI-2K, daily glucocorticoid dosage, and anti-dsDNA antibody levels decreased compared to pre-treatment (P<0.05). Subgroup analysis of patients with high-titer anti-dsDNA antibodies showed a significant decrease (P<0.05). Serum complement C3 and C4 levels increased compared to pre-treatment (P<0.05), while immunoglobulin IgG decreased compared to pre-treatment (P<0.05). Platelet count increased compared to pre- treatment (P<0.05), with subgroup analysis of patients with below-normal platelet counts confirming significant improvement (P<0.05). ESR and CRP levels decreased compared to pre-treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion: Didan Prescription combined with western medicine reduces daily glucocorticoid dosage, improves immunity, controls disease activity, and alleviates clinical symptoms in SLE of yin deficiency and blood stasis type.
