Abstract：Luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome（ LUFS） is a common cause of infertility. Based on the theory of "yang governs qi-transformation， yin governs substance-formation， "the authors propose that failure of "yang to transform qi" is the underlying cause of pathogenesis of LUFS，while excessive "substance-formation governed by yin" is a key pathological factor. The deficiency of yang qi is the root cause，while the obstruction of phlegm and blood stasis is the superficial manifestation. The warming and promoting yang qi therapy is the primary treatment approach for this condition， focusing on tonifying kidney yang， strengthening spleen function， resolving phlegm-dampness， and unblocking the uterine collaterals. The author's self-formulated prescription， the Wenyang Tongyang Huazhuo Prescription， is applied with flexible modifications， aiming to support healthy qi to eliminate pathogens， warm and nourish the uterus and uterine vessels. The prescription provides warmth while tonifying，with organs functioning well when unobstructed，thereby promoting ovulation.
