Abstract：Objective：To analyze the medication rules of syndrome patterns of the kidney in Shang Han Za Bing Lun （Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases）. Methods： The provisions on the treatment of syndrome patterns of the kidney in Shang Han Za Bing Lun were collected and sorted out， including the information of prescriptions for edema， strangury， dribbling urinary block， and seminal emission， which was input into Excel to establish a prescription database. The data mining function of the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform （V2.3.9） was used to analyze the frequency， properties， flavors， meridian tropism， and association rules and cluster rules of Chinese medicines. Results：A total of 37 prescriptions were included，with a total of 55 Chinese medicines， with a cumulative frequency of 178 times. High-frequency Chinese medicines included Cinnamomi Ramulus，Paeonia Lactiflora Pall，Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens，Jujubae Fructus，and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma， etc. Their four properties are mainly warm，followed by neutral；their five flavors are mainly sweet；meridian tropism is mainly the lung and spleen. The association rule analysis showed that there were six pairs of medicinal combinations such as Jujubae Fructus-Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens， Paeonia Lactiflora Pall-Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens， and Paeonia Lactiflora Pall-Cinnamomi Ramulus；through cluster analysis，three clustering prescriptions were obtained，including Cinnamomi Ramulus-Paeonia Lactiflora Pall-Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle， Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata-Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma-Poria， and Ephedrae Herba-Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Jujubae Fructus-Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens. Conclusion： ZHANG Zhongjing's treatment of the syndrome patterns of the kidney focused on harmonizing yin and yang and protecting the spleen and stomach， integrating the concept of yin-yang throughout the treatment process， which provides a reference for the modern medication and treatment.
