Abstract:This article summarizes Professor PENG Yu's clinical experience in treating andrological diseases using the Erxian Prescription. Professor PENG emphasizes the pathogenesis of yin deficiency in andrological disorders, proposing that these conditions often arise from yin deficiency complicated by yang deficiency,phlegm-damp,blood stasis, or qi stagnation. Notably, he observes that yin deficiency syndromes frequently coexist with aspects of yang deficiency. His treatment principle prioritizes nourishing yin as the foundation, warming yang as an adjunctive approach, while simultaneously addressing any accompanying excess syndromes. The Erxian Prescription, an experienced prescription, is characterized by its combination of cold and warm herbs, simultaneous supplementation and drainage, and harmonization of both yin and yang. It has demonstrated significant effect in treating andrological diseases characterized by dual deficiency of kidney yin and yang,or those primarily involving kidney yin deficiency.
