Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of Yiqi Huatan Huoxue Prescription on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated by pulmonary hypertension. Methods: A total of 80 patients diagnosed as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated by pulmonary hypertension in Wenzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from November 2022 to November 2024 were included and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received conventional therapy, and the observation group was additionally given Yiqi Huatan Huoxue Prescription based on the treatment in the control group. The clinical effects, and the changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, pulmonary artery systolic pressure, cardiopulmonary function [forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1)/forced vital capacity (FVC), FEV1 as a percentage of predicted value (FEV1%pred), 6-minute walking distance],and vascular endothelial function [tissue type plasminogen activator (tPA),plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), endothelin 1 (ET-1), nitrogen monoxide (NO)] before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 92.50% (37/40) in the observation group and 80.00% (32/40) in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P< 0.05), and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the pulmonary artery systolic pressure in both groups were reduced when compared with that before treatment (P<0.05), and the pulmonary artery systolic pressure in the observation group was lower than that in the control group( P<0.05). After treatment, the FEV1/FVC,FEV1%pred,and 6-minute walking distance in both groups were improved when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above three indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of tPA and NO were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels of PAI-1 and ET-1 were down-regulated when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the levels of tPA and NO in the observation group were higher than those in the control group( P<0.05),and the levels of PAI-1 and ET-1 were lower than those in the control group( P< 0.05). Conclusions: Yiqi Huatan Huoxue Prescription for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated by pulmonary hypertension can regulate the vascular endothelial function, improve the cardiopulmonary function, reduce the pulmonary artery systolic pressure, and improve clinical effect.
