Abstract:Based on the theory of the "heart-mind,chest cavity, and brain orifices" axis, the core pathogenesis of coronary heart disease( CHD) complicated by anxiety and depression lies in the functional dysregulation of these three elements. Malnutrition of the heart-mind is the internal basis for the onset, deficiency and stagnation of pectoral qi in the chest cavity is the core link in the disturbance of qi movement, and malnourishment of the brain orifices is the direct factor affecting mental abnormalities. Accordingly, the treatment principles of "calming the heart and stabilizing the mind, regulating chest qi to restore its free flow, and nourishing the brain orifice and promoting its vitality" are proposed. Through therapeutic methods such as nourishing the heart and replenishing blood, soothing the chest and flushing phlegm away, supplementing pectoral qi,resolving phlegm, and dispelling stasis, the goal of harmonizing qi and blood, unblocking the heart vessels, and stabilizing the mind can be achieved. This provides a new clinical perspective and methodology for the prevention and treatment of CHD complicated by anxiety and depression in traditional Chinese medicine.
