Abstract: This article introduces Professor LI Yirui's clinical experience in treating Tourette's syndrome. Professor LI believes that Tourette's syndrome is caused by external invasion of wind pathogens and emotional dysregulation, with the basic pathogenesis being hyperactivity of the liver and stirring of internal wind. The disease nature often involves both deficiency and excess, and the key to its onset lies in wind-phlegm disturbance. In clinical practice, while regulating the five zang organs, special emphasis is placed on the liver and spleen. The treatment focuses on regulating the spleen to nourish the spirit and soothing the liver to promote emotional harmony, while also addressing the lung, kidney, heart, and gallbladder. Emphasis is placed on the simultaneous treatment of both the body and mind, achieving favorable clinical outcomes.
