Abstract： This paper introduces Professor CHEN Zhenhu's clinical efficacy in treating allergic rhinitis with Qihuang needle therapy. Professor CHEN Zhenhu believes that the fundamental pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis is deficiency of yang qi and failure of clear yang to ascend， while the key causative factor of acute episodes is external invasion of pathogenic factors，leading to obstruction of the meridians and collaterals of the nasal orifice. Therefore，the treatment should focus on warming and unblocking yang qi to resolve the yin pathogens， and dispersing clear yang to relieve the stagnation. In clinical practice，Professor CHEN has adopted a unique Qihuang needle therapy and applies this needling therapy for treatment， emphasizing the use of shallow needling and Hegu needling. He selects three acupoints，Yintang （EX-HN3），Yingxiang （LI20），and Jueyinshu （BL14），to achieve the effect of unblocking the nasal orifices and treating allergic rhinitis.
